SHO TIME TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE LATE ARRIVAL OF FLIGHT 713

Sho Time (73) vs. Flight 713 (72)

THE CLOCK STARTED AND POINTS WERE GIVEN TO SHO TIME TO START THE GAME. TWO POINTS WERE GIVEN FOR EACH MINUTE THAT FLIGHT 713 WAS NOT READY. THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS UNTIL TWO MINUTES WERE REMAINING IN THE FIRST PERIOD. SHO TIME HAD A TWENTY POINT LEAD BEFORE THE ACTION REALLY STARTED. JONATHON SIMMONS RETURNED FOR HIS FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON AND HAD A TALL TASK TO LEAD HIS TEAM TO VICTORY. ONEAL MIMS, FIRST GAME WITH SHO TIME, SCORED IN THE FIRST PERIOD TO KEEP THE LEAD AS LARGE AS HE COULD BECAUSE HE KNEW JONATHON SIMMONS WAS ON A MISSION. SHANNON SHORTER ARRIVED BEHIND SCHEDULE AS WELL BUT HE WAS READY BECAUSE HE SCORED THIRTEEN POINTS IN THE SECOND PERIOD. JAMAIL PINK ENTERED THE GAME AVERAGING SIX POINTS PER GAME AND SCORED SIX POINTS IN THE SECOND PERIOD. HE HELPED KEEP THE LEAD FOR SHO TIME IN DOUBLE DIGITS AT HALFTIME. SAM SHIVERS HAS HAD AN EXCELLENT SEASON SO FAR FOR SHO TIME AND CARRIED THEM IN THE THIRD PERIOD WITH TWO MADE THREE POINTERS AND SIXTEEN POINTS. J SIMMS HAD SIXTEEN POINTS AS WELL IN THE THIRD PERIOD FOR FLIGHT 713. FLIGHT 713 HAD DIMINISHED THEIR DEFICIT TO ONLY FIVE POINTS BY THE END OF THE THIRD. IT SEEMED LIKE J SIMMS AND SHANNON SHORTER WERE TAKING TURNS CONTROLLING PERIODS. IN THE FOURTH PERIOD, IT WAS SHANNON SHORTER'S OPPORTUNITY TO SCORE, DEFEND, AND PASS THE BALL AT AN ADVANCED LEVEL. HE WAS ABLE TO DO THIS AND TIGHTEN THE GAME EVEN MORE. SAM SHIVERS CAME TO THE RESCUE, THOUGH, AND MADE TIMELY BASKETS FOR SHO TIME AS THEY HELD ON TO A ONE POINT TRIUMPH.

ANDREW HARRISON HAD TWO MADE THREE POINTERS OF HIS OWN AS WELL FOR THE DEFENDERS IN THE SECOND PERIOD. REX HAD A GREAT THIRD PERIOD ALSO SCORING SEVEN POINTS AND GRABBING THREE REBOUNDS. MALIK AMOS, WHO SCORED THIRTY EIGHT POINTS IN HIS FIRST GAME THIS SEASON, STARTED MAKING THREE'S IN SUCCESSION DURING THE THIRD PERIOD WHILE TABULATING THIRTEEN POINTS. HE HELPED THE DEFENDERS REDUCE THEIR DEFICIT TO ONLY ONE POINT BY THE START OF THE FOURTH PERIOD. ANDREW HARRISON TOOK OVER IN THE FOURTH PERIOD FOR THE DEFENDERS COUNTING FIFTEEN POINTS IN THE HOPE TO KEEP HIS TEAM UNDEFEATED. THEY CAME UP SHORT BECAUSE MARCUS HALL WAS RELENTLESS IN HIS EFFORT WITH SIXTEEN POINTS IN THE FINAL PERIOD AND CONVERTED THE GAME WINNING BASKET.

STB CREW WINS THE BATTLE OF THE UNDEFEATED

STB Brew Crew (100) vs. Frost Town Elite (80)

THE NUMBER ONE STB BREW CREW WAS SET TO GO AGAINST THE NUMBER THREE FROST TOWN ELITE. BOTH TEAMS WALKED INTO THIS GAME UNDEFEATED. PAUL THOMAS HAD BEEN QUIET SO FAR THIS SEASON FOR FROST TOWN BUT SHOWED UP IN A BIG WAY FOR THEM BY ACQUIRING SIX POINTS AND PULLING DOWN FOUR REBOUNDS IN THE INITIAL PERIOD. COREY BREWER BROUGHT THE ENERGY EARLY AFTER BECOMING GAME MVP IN THE FIRST GAME OF STB BREW CREW'S SEASON THE WEEK BEFORE. MARQUEZ LETCHER WOKE UP IN THE SECOND PERIOD AFTER BEING BESTOWED THE PLAYER OF WEEK ONE IN THE H TOWN NEX PRO LEAGUE. HE HAD EIGHT POINTS IN THIS PERIOD HOPING THAT FROST TOWN WOULD STAY UNDEFEATED. CHRISTIAN JAMES MADE IT HARD FOR THAT TO HAPPEN WITH HIS SECOND AND THIRD PERIOD PERFORMANCE. HE ACCUMULATED FOURTEEN POINTS, FOUR REBOUNDS, AND FOUR ASSISTS IN THESE TWO PERIODS ALONE. IT WAS MORE QUEZ FOR FROST TOWN IN THE THIRD BUT HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH HELP AND THE UNDEFEATED FROST TOWN FOUND THEMSELVES DOWN BY OVER TWENTY AFTER THREE PERIODS. COREY BREWER RETURNED TO HIS FIRST PERIOD FORM IN THE FOURTH PERIOD TO FINISH FROST TOWN OFF WITH ELEVEN POINTS IN THE PERIOD AND KEEPING THE STB BREW CREW NUMBER ONE AND UNDEFEATED. PRINCE ONWES WAS THE PLAYER THAT PLAYED HARD TO THE END OF THE GAME FOR FROST TOWN BUT IT WAS TOO LATE FOR HIM TO AFFECT THE FINAL SCORE.

YOUNG CELTICS PRODUCE FIRST WIN BY SUSTAINING IN OVERTIME

Celtics (113) vs. Mob Ties (106)

JUAN HOOD WAS HOT IN THE FIRST PERIOD FOR THE CELTICS AND MADE FOUR THREE POINTERS. RYAN WHITE, WHO IS A VETERAN PLAYER IN THE H TOWN NEX PRO LEAGUE, HAD AN IMPRESSIVE FIRST PERIOD AS WELL WITH SEVEN POINTS, TWO ASSISTS, AND TWO REBOUNDS. JAVON MCCORMICK PLAYED WITH ENERGY ON BOTH ENDS OF COURT IN THE SECOND PERIOD SHOWING HIS NEXT LEVEL JUMPING ABILITY. ADAM KANAFANI HAD SIX POINTS IN THE SECOND PERIOD AND ALMOST TWENTY POINTS AT HALF CAPPING OFF A GREAT FIRST HALF FOR HIM. BOTH TEAMS HAD OVER FIFTY POINTS AT HALFTIME. ADAM KANAFANI SCORED POINTS AFTER REBOUNDING IN THE THIRD PERIOD AND HAD A DOUBLE DOUBLE BY GAME'S END. JAVON MCCORMICK SCORED EIGHT POINTS IN THE THIRD PERIOD ON HIS WAY TO BEING THE SECOND LEADING SCORER IN THIS GAME. I SAY SECOND LEADING SCORER BECAUSE CALEB LEDOUX WAS THE GAME HIGH SCORER AND ROSE ABOVE EVERYONE INDIVIDUALLY AT THE FORGE FOR FAMILIES COURT. HIS INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE DID NOT PRESENT A WIN FOR MOB TIES, THOUGH, BECAUSE CALVIN WILLIAMS SHINED IN THE FOURTH PERIOD AND OVERTIME GENERATING THE CELTICS FIRST VICTORY OF SEASON IN EXCITING FASHION.
